An Industry Leader Since 1916
Williams Gas Furnaces and Heaters
In 1916. Jesse Williams began manufacturing gas steam radiators in the Los Angeles area under the banner of the Williams Radiator Company. His early commitment to product sophistication played an integral role in the company's growth and by the early 1930's, Williams' gas fired space heating became a product line reality.

The World War II economic and housing boom in California necessitated the introduction of a gravity wall furnace. Counterflow fan type wall furnaces came soon after and resulted in a supply / demand on a national scope. By 1954, coast to coast distribution networking was launched and sales were dramatically expanded outside California.

This ultimately led to the firm's acquisition by the Continental Materials Corporation in 1958. The AMEX listed parent company subsequently increased product line visibility with a name change to the Williams Furnace Company in 1959. Thus, the nation's leading manufacturer of gas fired wall furnaces and related comfort products was well on its way to putting a significant stamp on the country's comfortable living standards.

In addition, Williams' 1986 acquisition of Hydro Aire / Lanco further diversified manufactured products to include a comprehensive line of high quality fan coils and air handlers. Automated numerically controlled machinery with rigid quality control processes are used to assure precision and quality control.

Combined with an extensive R & D effort, the engineering on these products is complemented via thorough testing in psychometric environmental chambers with instrumentation accuracy traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.

1996 marked Williams' entrance in the vent free and hearth products marketplace. Williams is a single source of quality heating and cooling products which includes: top vent and direct vent home furnaces, vent free space heaters, garage heaters, hearth heaters / consoles, floor furnaces, mobile home heaters, fan coils, air handlers and evaporative coolers.

Today, their 400,000 square foot Colton, California manufacturing complex features state of the art material handling, production systems, storage, and shipping / receiving facilities.

Williams has an ongoing commitment to quality manufactured products with a proven history of integrity, reliability, and performance.
